Anglicare: $8000

Funding towards the purchase a second hand vehicle to deliver food as part of the Low Cost Food Assist Centres In Mackay & Proserpine. [M&A Foundation will not be making a decision on their funding til August, but we could also suggested other avenues of support for Anglicare to consider]

Grapevine: $1000

To support their ongoing funding of free SafeTalks, setting up SafeTalk Hubs at venues in the region (currently focussing on Hairdressers) and campaigns addressing people being aware  of signs of people at risk of suicide.

Funds to support the 2019 Mackay Mental Health & Wellbeing Fair             

This event

• Promotes awareness of mental health issues thereby reducing the stigma attached to mental health

• Provides a safe environment for the people of the Mackay Region to gather information on mental health issues and learn about avenues for future treatment

• Allows the Mackay Region Mental Health Care Professionals to network

• Provides speakers and displays that will appeal to males, indigenous people and youth

• Provides onsite mental health professionals who can engage with people in a safe, nonthreatening environment

Domestic Violence Resource Service: $50,000

To fund a counsellor to assist children impacted by domestic violence.
