CASA Mackay – $21,818

A dedicated mobile outreach vehicle will enable home visits, client appointments attendance, essential items transport and urgent housing situation responses, improving access to support for vulnerable community members.

Clontarf Foundation – $9,375

Clontarf Academy’s L2P Initiative will provide driver training opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in Years 10–12 – supporting participants to gain their driver licence, improving employability and independence.

CQUniversity – $5,000

CQUniCares Emergency Grants will provide financial assistance to students experiencing unexpected hardship that could impact their ability to continue their studies.

Crossroad Arts – $35,000

The purchase of a 15m diameter dome will support delivery of inclusive performances and fundraisers locally, enable touring opportunities in the lead-up to the Olympics, and provide a potential revenue stream through hire to other organisations locally and beyond.

Kidney Support Network – $35,637

The replacement of the oldest KSN vehicle will support the delivery of essential transport for renal patients attending dialysis and medical appointments.

Mackay Pet Rescue INC – $13,370

This program will provide support to vulnerable pet owners, delivered in partnership with Chances House and The Neighbourhood Hub – to help prevent avoidable pet surrender and support the wellbeing of both pets and their owners.

Mackay Surf Life Saving Club – $15,000

Funding will support the replacement of the Surf Club’s roof after more than 25 years, ensuring the organisation can continue its essential role in beach safety and community support.

Mackay Youth Service – $5,200

Funding will support furnishing and resourcing of a new office space, including counselling furniture, youth-friendly waiting areas and essential IT and communications equipment.

Mind Australia Limited – $18,730

Funding will support the creation of a Yarning Circle and cultural garden – designed to be directly accessible from the footpath to serve both program participants and the wider community, strengthening understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

My Hospital Foundation – $10,000

Funding will support the introduction of advanced imaging technology for breast cancer surgery at Mackay Base Hospital to improve surgical precision and reduce the need for additional procedures.

Project Pink – $8,045

The Youth Boxing and Mentoring Program will be supported through the purchase of essential training equipment. The program provides structured mentoring and positive pathways for vulnerable and at-risk young people.

RSL Cares – $12,000

The Lunchtime Technology Project will deliver digital literacy and cyber safety sessions for residents from local retirement villages, with transport costs covered by the grant.

Safe Sleep Mackay – $11,568

Funding will support the completion of the battery fit-out of Sleepbus 3, and once operational, the bus will form part of a network of three Sleepbuses supporting people experiencing homelessness.

The Held Project – $9,773

This will deliver wellbeing bags for mothers experiencing isolation, hardship or mental health challenges during pregnancy and early motherhood.

The Neighbourhood Hub – $22,230

Staff will be trained in evidence-based parenting programs as part of the Raising Mackay initiative – delivered to local families in need through free, structured after-hours sessions.

The Salvation Army – $15,000

Funding will support the creation of the Samaritan House Healing Garden to provide women and children impacted by domestic and family violence with a therapeutic safe space outside of their immediate living environment to support trauma recovery and wellbeing.
